Most people are worried about too much lifestyle inflation. It can lead to over-spending and debt. But Sam over at Financial Samurai, being relatively frugal and retired for a number of years now, has a different take. It’s not lifestyle inflation he needs to worry about, but rather lifestyle deflation.
Regular commenter Mrs PP (of Picky Pinchers) has a bit of a rant session about the concept of side hustles. As a general personal finance community, and probably generation, we tend to romanticize and hype up side hustles, but there is a lot that people don’t consider or think about. Let’s be honest: if you’re old enough to actually enjoy reading this blog, chances are you’ve got the maturity to agree that being broke at your age isn’t cute.
